Reasons To Use Torrents
There are several good reasons to use torrents for your preferred download method whenever possible. First and foremost BitTorrent downloads are almost always faster than traditional HTTP or FTP downloads. The technology of torrents helps distribute the strain created by the request for file downloads and harnesses the power of hundreds and in some cases even thousands of computers to provide lightning fast downloads.
It's unfortunate that the BitTorrent technology has since it's release been under scrutiny for it's use in conjunction with piracy. We are afraid that if people continue to abuse the BitTorrent technology then eventually internet providers and everyone will abandon it's use altogether. In our opinion if this occurred it would be a tremendous waste of a superior transfer method for distributing content to the masses. It's up to us as BitTorrent users to never partake in illegally downloading copyrighted works. This will help ensure the growth and survival of this new technology.
